Got a little creative with my presentation of one of my images for an apocalyptic gallery show tonight. It came out almost exactly how I envisioned. Was planning to shoot some bullet holes into it, but ran out of time.
In fact, Gary Fasen was the man who taught me how to airbrush.
This is where I came from
I learned this trade, over ten years ago, within the trenches of a theme park caricature booth, Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, just outside Chicago.
I made this video six years ago, a labor of love and gratitude, for my great mentor and friend, Gary Fasen. In it, you'll see several of my colleagues and brethren speak about the man who changed all of our lives.
If you have 30 mins, please take a moment to meet the man that thousands of caricature artists owe a tremendous gratitude. I know I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for him. Still not sure if that's a good or bad thing ;P
Please share this video with those who love biographical documentaries
